A Merry Christmas Letter

• 1 min read

Merry Christmas morning dear friends!

From my home — full of rambunctious toddlers and infants — to yours, I wish you a merry and blessed Christmas.

This has been a great week of reflection and renewal — one which, I admit, I’ve been in need of for quite some time.

We’re unable to visit with loved ones this year. I’ve dreaded this reality for weeks, hoping case numbers would drop and the risk would diminish enough to have a small Christmas meal. This never came, and we’re adapting our Christmas instead. In the later part of the evening on Christmas Eve, bitter reflection has turned into joyful cheer.

This is still the most wonderful time of the year.

I was unable to swoop into your inbox last week due to one of my last CPA exams. (One more and I’m all done. It’s been a long time coming.) This week is Christmas. And next week is New Years Day.

Which is to say, Toonie will be going on a bit of a Christmas break and will return in the first week of 2021 full of rest and renewal.

There have been many lessons learned in 2020 and this period of reflection has breathed new life into the list of personal finance topics I want to write about.

To that end, I once again wish you and your family a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. I pray for a happy, prosperous, and healthy New Year for you and all your loved ones.

And I cannot wait for the long-awaited post-COVID celebration 2021 promises to bring.

Cheers!
